Maggie grew up in Birmingham where she spent her early years in care. Maggie has never forgotten the wonderful experience and the loving care she received from the couple who wanted to adopt her, however, Maggie was fortunate enough to be able to return to her own family.

Later in life Maggie and her husband John, with the support of their three sons, went on to foster young people. They fostered for twenty years and adopted one of their young wards.

Maggie feels that every child has the right to feel wanted and loved, she set up Hythe House Support which has given her the opportunity to ensure that the young people receive just that.
