We
will endeavour to match the child / young person to a family, that
most resembles their own family's culture, religion and lifestyle.
Gather
and collate as much information as possible about the young person
to be placed.
Identify
the foster carers with vacancies and the required expertise and
skills to meet the needs of the young person being referred.
Contact
the foster carers identified and pass on all information about the
young person.
The
needs of all children in the placement, including birth children,
are taken into account as part of the matching process.
The
local Authority of children currently placed with the foster carer
are informed and consulted regarding the proposed placement.
